The old street view

This is a painting of a picture of downtown Lethbridge, a shadow of what was, and a shadow of what is, in my memories. I took this picture in Oct 2014, almost 10 years ago, with my 365 days of images exercise, which took me almost 2 years to complete. I remember being so proud of this picture. What ten years will do to a person. What lifetimes we have lived. ❤️ FL

I miss sidewalks.

This whole thing is so funny to me. I hope you’re having a great day!

81/365 I love the porch on this sweet old lady. #art #365daysofart #watercolours #sketchbook #whatsinuoursketchbook #abandonedhouses #illustrationartists [@thecrookedpeak thank you for your most excellent work!]
“Tentative” #practicemakesprogress I think his ears are too big… he makes me think of a moose with donkey ears. 🤣🤣

While I’m not overly thrilled with this one, the point is, I painted. I haven’t been “feeling it” lately, making painting more of a chore than a joy, however, how do you move past those feelings without just doing it? So here’s my average idea, with subpar landscape, a stepping stone to be becoming a better artist! Tomorrow is another day.

Here’s where it all started! My favourite is the whale panorama. ❤️ #practicemakesprogress
